What this site collects, what happens to it, and what it does not collect.

The short version
Arc & Bead has no user accounts, sells nothing directly, and sells data to nobody. What we collect is anonymous analytics about how pages are used, plus whatever you type into the contact form if you choose to use it.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people move through the site. It records things like the page visited, roughly where in the world the request came from, the type of device, and how visitors arrived.
We use this to decide what to write next and to find pages that are not answering the question they promise. We do not use it to identify individuals and have no way to do so.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block them through your browser settings or a privacy extension, and the site works normally without them.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you submit are emailed to us. They are used to reply to you and for nothing else.
The form also records the time the page loaded and your IP address, purely to filter automated spam — bots submit in milliseconds and humans do not. Those values are not stored beyond the request and are not used for anything else.
Messages live in an ordinary email inbox. If you would like one deleted, email contact@arcandbead.com and we will remove it.
Affiliate links
Product links on this site route through an on-site redirect at /go/ before sending you to the retailer, with a tag identifying Arc & Bead as the referrer.
The retailer may set its own cookies at that point, governed by the retailer's privacy policy rather than ours. We receive aggregate reporting about whether a purchase happened — never your name, address, email or payment details.
When you click one of those links, an affiliate_click event is recorded in our analytics so we can see which recommendations are useful. It contains the page and the link, not anything about you.

What we do not collect
No accounts, because there is nothing to log into. No payment details, because nothing is sold here. No newsletter list. No advertising networks, retargeting pixels or data brokers. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone for marketing.
Hosting and logs
This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses and request details for operational and security purposes. That is ordinary web hosting infrastructure and is governed by Vercel's own privacy practices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, and to object to certain processing.
In practice we hold very little: analytics data that cannot identify you, and any contact-form message you sent. To ask about either, email contact@arcandbead.com.
Children
This site is aimed at adults buying welding equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the last-updated date at the top of the page changes with it. We do not update that date without changing something.
