What to get in touch about

Corrections. Every technical figure on this site is attributed to a manufacturer's documentation or a standards body. If one of them is wrong, tell us which page and which figure, and we will check it against the source and correct it. Our editorial policy sets out how that works.

Questions we have not answered. If you read a page and it did not answer the thing you actually came for, that is useful information about the page.

A product that is no longer sold. A roundup whose top pick cannot be bought is the worst possible state for a buying guide, and readers usually notice before we do.

Suggestions for guides. Particularly the blocking questions — the "will my garage circuit even run this?" kind that stop a purchase entirely.

What we cannot help with

We cannot diagnose a specific fault on your machine remotely, and we are not a substitute for your manufacturer's technical support — they have your model's service documentation and we do not.

We also cannot advise on whether a particular structural or towing weld is safe. That depends on the joint, the material and the application, and in many places it carries legal requirements about who may carry the work out.
